Scotland's Financial Services Advisory Board (FiSAB) - the innovative collaboration between the financial services industry, the Government, Scottish Enterprise/Scottish Development International, the Unions, and Universities Scotland - is sponsoring a Global Financial Services Week commencing Monday 26 May 2008.
This week will climax with a Global Financial Services Conference that will be held in Edinburgh on Thursday, 29th May 2008.
An exciting conference programme has been put together to showcase the strength and depth of the industry in Scotland to stakeholders in Scotland, the rest of the UK and international markets; and to provide a forum for top level discussion about the opportunities and ambitions for this most internationalised of industries.
The conference is to be chaired by James Naughtie of the BBC, and will feature a keynote address by Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland. Other confirmed speakers include - Andy Hornby, HBOS; Professor John Kay of the Council of Economic Advisors, David Nicol, Morgan Stanley; John Lutz, IBM; Sir David Brewer, the UK financial services envoy for China, and Sir Tom Harris, Standard Chartered Bank.
