Bio Korea is one of Asia’s key life sciences exhibition, conference and partnering events showcasing Korea’s pharmaceutical and biotech sector, as well as hosting participants from greater Asia and further afield. Last year’s Bio Korea convention attracted 235 companies with over 18,000 visitors.
There has been a Scotland-Korea BioAlliance in place now for several years and as a result a number of Scottish life sciences companies and institutions have successful, ongoing collaborations with Korean partners.
Bio Korea provides Scottish life science companies with many opportunities in:
- Contract and collaborative research
- Product sales
- Consultancy
- Licensing in and out
- Investment
- Market familiarisation
Through SDI, there will be a significant amount of support available, including:
- Exhibition entry and space on Scottish pavilion
- Invitation to Bio Korea’s opening reception
- Entry to Bio Korea’s on-line partnering service
- Pre-mission briefing
- Travel subvention and accommodation support
Scottish Development International has also secured a couple of speaking slots at the Bio Korea Conference, which will be available to companies who are attending the exhibition.
